| History |
Due to the immense popularity of the All-Star resorts, Disney quickly decided to add to it's Value Resort inventory. Pop Century was originally intended to represent each decade of the 1900's. The first phase, The Classic Years would be the 1950's to 1990's. Construction for the resort was underway in 2001, when 9/11 happened. Tourism hit a slump and construction on the resort slowed. It was decided to finish the nearly complete Classic Years side, but halt construction indefinitely on the Legendary Years, 1900's-1940's, side. To this day, Legendary Hall and two guest room buildings sit unfinished across Hourglass Lake. Internet rumors have reported workers on the site and the possibility that Legendary Years will be built as all Family Suites. No official announcement has been made, so until then it's just speculation. |

Pros
I prefer the food selections and quality here over the All-Stars.
The icons are lots of fun, and the Shadow Boxes in the lobby are a great stroll down memory lane.
Cons
Parking is the biggest problem here. Depending on your room location, parking may be a long ways away. If you don’t plan on using your car much, this may not be an issue.
The bus stops are not covered, they’re gonna get hot in the summer!
Handicapped parking is limited, and fills quickly.
They seem to be phasing out the Mr. Potato Head – the selection of pieces was very poor my last trip and the display area was smaller.
